Katy and Martyn’s Easter Wedding.
Arriving at Katy’s in the morning, hair and makeup was in full swing. Katy chose Michelle G Makeup Artist and Foxy Loxx Hair for her prep, great choice! Now Michelle is a real pro who always goes next level in work and personally helping out on the morning of the Wedding. Katy was thrilled and looking amazing by the time the ladies had worked their magic. Panic stations set in with the Bridal veil being all tangled up but Michelle was straight in there to the rescue and made sure everything looked 100%.
When couples get married at a Church I always like to pop over and have a look about the morning of the Wedding. St Mary’s was buzzing away with the verger cleaning up the place and some of the Parishioners getting loads of floral displays ready for the Easter services, bit of a bonus for the lucky couple, the Church looked stunning. A few of them even asked me, suited and booted, if I was the groom, haha. The Vicar, Alex, was a legend during the ceremony and allowed me to do what I needed to do to get some awesome shots for the couple and their families. One of the vergers going above and beyond hanging around so Katy and Martyn could get a cracking shot at the front by the stained glass window of St Mary’s.
The drivers from A to Z Limos were amazingly patient whilst we got the formals and confetti shot out of the way. Whisking the couple off to the always fabulous Manor Hill House for the rest of their day. Finishing Touches had setup up some lovely blossom trees and the team at Manor Hill had dressed the Marquee up to the nines. It’s always nice to see family members getting involved with a wedding and Aunty Emma provided some unique dove place settings, mirror table plan, dress hangers and a few other bits and bobs for the happy couple on their big day.
Katy and Martyn’s guests were a great crowd. Always having a good laugh and joke and making the best of the blazing hot weather. The food at Manor Hill House is always great, I know from personal experience. The couple had chosen to have a full turkey joint delivered to each table, dressing up a nominated carver in a chef’s hat to carve the turkey. Dad wise cracking all the way through, “we’ve only got a kitchen in our house cos it came with one”. A great dining experience was had by all the guests.
Evening entertainment was provided by George Simpson, singer, guitarist, pianist, DJ and all round nice guy (is there anything he doesn’t do?). Jubilee Fireworks putting in a stellar fireworks show straight after the first dance. Finished off with some awesome home-made pizza in the wood-fired oven topped off an awesome day.
